For sale here is a scarce Leonard Bimetal trout-size fly reel made by Julius Vom Hofe. Clearly marked"H.L. Leonard - Pat. No 191813". Constructed with a bronze frame, nickel silver foot, handle arm, and aluminum spool. The pillar to pillar diameter is ~2.58" (without pillars it is ~2.22"). The inner frame width is 1" with a dished spool. Weight - 4.95 oz. This is the third and final version of the classic Leonard bimetal trout reel. Ebonite handle grasp. Screw-off rear bearing cap.Excellent original condition. The click is strong and loud. The foot is full length and unmolested. This a very desirable example of the classic Leonard bimetal reel.
