Shimano Vanford FA Spinning Reel Review Positioned as the spiritual descendent of the legendary CI4+ Stradic and the evolution of the previous Vanford, this reel isnt just an updateits a complete reimagining of what a finesse-focused spinning reel can be
Id recommend the 6.4:1 model for treble-hooked hard lures and the 8.0:1 model for any bottom-contact techniques such as jigs, Texas rigs and Carolina rigs
Todays reels are lighter, are more durable, have better drag systems, and come in a greater variety of sizes and speeds
Compared to other deep-diving crankbaits out there, the DT14 has a wide wobble and the slimmer bill design allows it to cut through the water column and reach its maximum depth faster, meaning your bait will spend more time in the strike zone
So let's see what I would go with to get a great pairing for $100
