Chunky Hoop Earring 22k Based on the crab struckOur Chunky Hoop Earrings features a gold hoop hand engraved with fine lines to create a beautiful matte texture. Called bulino, for the Italian word for engraver, this type of finish dates back centuries. It is similar to the fine lines seen in book engravings, which originated in jewelry techniques. The master fifteenth century engraver Albrecht Drer trained as a goldsmith in his father's shop before turning those lines to use in his prints.
