Platystele ornata Zygopetalum showy flowers with nicely balancedA prolific miniature epiphyte from the Andean cloud forests, producing multiple erect racemes simultaneously from broad, elliptic leaves. Each small flower displays ovate sepals with a distinctly papillose, almost granular texture, sharply tipped petals, and a neat rounded labelo a richly ornate bloom that more than justifies its name. Light: Bright indirect light with 5070% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can stress the soft, broad leaves.
