Aleah underlay Some fading gives a darkerA 1940s Hamadan rug from northwest Persia. Mixed pale and coral pinks with browns and midnight blue. The colours are very responsive to light conditions and the rug will appear paler in daylight and warmer, with the mid pinks emphasised, in warm artificial light. A gentle overall impression which would fit easily into a wide range of decorating styles. The colours Thin pile but soft to the touch. Overall good condition. 241 x 137cm
