Oncidium vulcanicum Araceae An epiphytic orchid endemic toA slender, floriferous epiphyte native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing long, upright spikes densely set with numerous small flowers evenly spaced along the rachis. The very narrow, linear lanceolate sepals and petals taper to sharp, slightly curved tips and have a smooth texture, while the very compact lip bears a visible basal callus and a short column, giving each flower a distinctly airy, star like silhouette.
