A Friend and I had been photographing rutting bull elk along the Bow River near Banff

“This is one of the cutest little shots I have ever taken

a clear horizon and a sky filled with scattered grey cloud enabled me to capture this chance prairie scene

but the waterfall at Silverton Falls is just as beautiful and dramatic

I got to photograph it for three to five minutes before it got up and made its way towards us down the ridge and disappeared into the trees
