Sensor uses a 1 8NPT thread with pre applied thread sealer. Accurate air temperature measurement post intercooler is essential for speed density tuning. Subaru uses an intake temp sensor integrated into the mass air flow sensor but this measurement is pre turbo and not an accurate representation of the actual charge
